Scofield family trip 7.27-8.2.14

We took a trip to Scofield Reservoir with my family.  We drove down on Sunday after church.  My family had stayed with us the night before so that they could come pick up the boat so that we could also trailer the quads.  The cabin was absolutely beautiful! It was on the far side of the lake and on 16 acres of land on a dirt road.  We spent the week riding quads a lot because it was overcast and lightly raining most of the week.  Mom got stung by a bee that flew in her helmet while they were out for a ride toward the end of the week. We were able to take the boat out twice, only once with everyone on a sunny day.  We transported everyone over to a private beach where we spent the afternoon and had lunch.  We had the entire lake to ourselves and it was glass! Couldn't have been better!  We all shared in the duties of making the meals and had campfires and s'mores out back each night.  We got to spend a lot of time sitting out on the porch enjoying the beautiful scenery and peace and quiet.  There was a lot of playing between the girls and a slightly obsessive amount of showing of the Disney movie "Frozen".  We played poker and other games and just did a whole lot of relaxing.

This bird flew right into our window - I went down and saved him.

That's one sleepy flag girl! Good thing we had the lake to ourselves.

I won at poker every time :)
