November 1: Colton turned 6 months old. He had his doctor
appointment on November 3rd. He was 20lbs 10oz (92%) and
29 inches (99%). I'm pretty sure the length was actually measured
wrong since he was only 29.5 inches 3 months later. We started
feeding him solids at this time also. He immediately took to it and
devoured his squash! We did figure out though, that he had a hard
time with more solid foods and would gag on them when they got to the
back of his mouth and would puke almost every time he gagged. So
much fun!
Juliet also really loves to dance to
music. We put on some fun kids songs for her to dance to.
November 2: Went up to South Jordan for
Chase's cousin Michelle's baby's blessing. Had a great luncheon
afterward and then had to hurry back to our ward so I could make it
to primary.
November 3: Took Juliet to the library
for a craft. They had these awesome little paint stampers. It made
it possible for little kid to paint pictures without being messy at
all. I loved them!

November 4: Colton begins babbling and
talking.
November 7: More library music time.
I took the kids shopping at the outlet
malls by our house. Juliet had fun walking around and then stopping
in by the fireplace to warm up.
November 8: I decided I wanted to try
making my own baby food. It was pretty easy, but I finally decided
it wasn't worth my time!
November 13: Colton is trying to figure
out these new mittens I just bought him. Juliet got her own gloves
and was pretty obsessed about them.
November 14: Library music time. These
three are trouble! Juliet, Emmy Farr, and Kennedy Robinson
We took Juliet into Cookie Cutters for
her very first haircut. She did awesome! She got to sit in an
airplane and they did her hair up so cute after.
November 15: Dad makes the BEST bubble
baths!
November 17: I hired a cleaning lady!
November 19: “Sharing” the slide
with Emmy at neighborhood play group.
November 20: We finally decided to buy
a new TV for our room and we couldn't be happier! We love the
upgrade! We had been using the giant big screen that Chase bought
when he was 18.
November 23: We had an early
Thanksgiving dinner with the Straw family. Chase and I hosted at our
clubhouse. We had a yummy dinner and did our traditional new
Christmas jammies for all the grandkids from Grandma.
November 26-Dec 4: We spent the entire
week in AZ for Thanksgiving and early Christmas. We had such a fun
time! On Thanksgiving, we went to Beth and James' house for a
Thanksgiving lunch. Their ward missionaries came over for the meal
also. They were fun to have. We took the kids to the park near
Beth's house to enjoy the warm weather and wear them out! They had
fun. Back at home, all the kids had fun playing together while the
adults relaxed and looked through the Black Friday ads. We decided
to do most of our shopping online that night but then Beth's friend
gave her a voucher to go buy a TV for a good price at Walmart that
night so I went with her to go pay for it and pick it up. We also
shopped around the store for other gifts.
Friday, we did a tiny bit of shopping
in the morning and then went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch. Mom
and Dad did a little more shopping after that. That night, mom,
Beth, James, us, and the kids all drove over to Glendale for the
Glendale Glitters block party. They have lots of Christmas lights
and activities. We walked around for a while, but it sure was
crowded. We drove by our old house in Glendale on the way home. It
sure brought back lots of memories but it was also very different
than how I remember it as a kid.
Saturday, we all went down to the
shooting range and shot our weapons. It was fun to kill all those
zombies!
Mom, Beth, and I went and did a session
at the new Phoenix temple that night. It was beautiful and great to
get out for a little bit. As we were leaving, we ran into Mom and
Dad's good friends the Urbancics while they were working there. It
was great to see them again!
Sunday, we went to Corey's house for
early Christmas. We had pizza for dinner and got to open gifts.
Man, those kids got spoiled by their grandparents! There were gifts
and wrapping paper everywhere! It was a very fun evening. Poor
Colton got some wrapping paper in his mouth and gagged on it and
puked everywhere! It made Juliet cry to see him upset and we were all
laughing while I was trying to catch it in my hands so it wouldn't
get all over the carpet. It was mass hysteria and it was hilarious!!
Monday, Dec 1: Colton turned 7 months
old. We also did early Christmas with Scott's family at Mom and
Dad's house. Their friends, the Lomeli's, came over to say hi and
join in the festivities. They are such great people and good friends
to my parents. :)
Tuesday, Dec 2: We went to the Wildlife
World Zoo in Peoria with Mom, Dad, Corey, and Nick. It was so nice
because the weather was great and there were barely any people there
at all. The kids loved seeing all the animals.
Wednesday, Dec 3: We drove up to
Flagstaff and stayed the night at Chase's best friend Blaine and
Erica's house. We wanted to be able to see them and it was also
really nice to be able to shorten our drive home by 2 hours. We had
dinner with them and Blaine's parents and brother came over to visit.
We left the next morning to drive home. Corey and Nick surprised us by driving up to have breakfast with us before we left. We had such a great time!
