December 1: Colton turned 7 months old. He had some extra company for his picture this month!
December 6: Went to our ward Christmas
breakfast. The little kids sang a song and Santa came. Juliet was
terrified, of course!
That night, we went to my work
Christmas party. Chase worked that day, so I met up with him after
work and we drove up to join my co-workers at the bowling ally. We
went to dinner at a BBQ place in Sugarhouse after bowling. Always
good times there!
December 8: My old boss, Dr Baird,
invited all of his old staff over to his house for a Christmas party.
It was so great to visit with old friends and catch up on everyone.
We went over to Draper park after the
party. They have one tree that has been lit up with thousands of
Christmas lights. Everyone was talking about it, so we had to see
it. We also drove around looking at Christmas lights on houses.
There was a really awesome animated one near the park that we loved.
December 10: I took the kids to get
their picture taken with Santa at JCPenny. Juliet still doesn't like
Santa, but Colton loved him! I ran them over to get their pictures
taken at the portrait studio also since they looked so cute.
December 12: Went to sushi for lunch
with my co-worker Mirielle and her husband Kent. We had a great time
visiting with them. Mirielle and I work opposite days, so I don't
get to talk to her much, so it was good to be able to sit down and
get to know them better.
We decided it was time to move Juliet
out of the crib and it to a toddler bed. She got to pick out her own
bedding, which of course, was Frozen.
December 13: We had the amazing
opportunity to attend the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Christmas
concert. It was hosted by Santino Fontona, the voice of Prince Hans
on Frozen, and the Sesame Street Muppets. It was INCREDIBLE! We
loved it so much! Cousins Ally and Taylor went with us. It was a
long walk from our parking garage in the cold December air.
December 16: We went to see Santa's
reindeer at the Thanksgiving Point water tower. Juliet really
enjoyed seeing them and getting a treat inside the deli. It was so
cold outside so unfortunately, we didn't get to stay as long as we
wanted.
December 20: Colton begins army
crawling. Watch out! Juliet also is learning how to play catch.
December 22: We went to a Festivus party at Betyna and Patrick's house. They are such good people and we had fun time playing games and eating good food.
On Christmas Eve, we went to Stacey and Ryan's house for dinner. It was so yummy! Grandma told the story of the Nativity and the kids helped reenact it with their new nativity scene toys. There was also a cute little dog pile with cousins!
We woke up Christmas morning to snow! Yay! We opened gifts at home and then headed over to Grandma's house. We opened gifts with cousins after everyone got there. The kids played out in the snow with Chase and again with cousin Chelsey when she came over with Cliff and Jeanette. We spent the rest of the day enjoying family and having a yummy Christmas dinner. I gave Paul's mullet a little trim too!
My parents, Scott, Sirrinna, and their kids came in late that night. We had a really fun time on the quads in the snow and sledding at the golf course, as well as celebrating New Years. We had plans with our friends the Pearsons, but Juliet and I ended up pretty sick that night, so we had to cancel. So we just did a few fireworks at home.
